Photography and Special Relativity

Here is a slightly modified version of POV-Ray and a series of movies which I created. They show how the shape of an object appears to change (as seen in a photograph) as the object moves at speeds close to the speed of light. This is just one of the effects of Special Relativity. I have not incorporated any other effects -- time is in short supply in my neck of the woods.
