Our proposal for a Joint Discussion on Pre-Solar Grains was successful. We have been granted one day for our meeting, as requested.

    The draft program is here,

  • Successful Workshop at Lorentz Centre!

Our workshop on "Nucleosynthesis inBonary Stars" was held at the Lorentz Centre and was very successful. More details will be posted soon.

  • JD Proposal for IAU GA in Prague 2006

A sub-committee of the WGARG (with others co-opted) has preapred an application for a Joint Discussion at the IAU on the topic of "Pre-Solar Grains as Astrophysical Tools". A copy of the proposal as of Sept 25 is here. More work is to be done. Please let us have your comments.

The latest draft program is here,

  • Lorentz Centre Success!

Our application to the Lorentz Centre was successul! Now we need to chase up additional funds and prepare the detailed program. Thanks to all involved. Please read the application and let us have your comments on the program ASAP.

Please try this stellar abundance database and send bugs or comments to the author, Rob Izzard.

  • Interactive Page for Communications

We are trialling a "Dassie" page for allowing us to discuss topics. Please visit this page here and see what is happening. You are able to post messages, start new topics, and upload files. You will need a password, so if you do not ave one then please email me.

The report of the business meeting of our WG, held at the IAU-GA in Sydney, has been prepared. It will appear in the next Highlights of Astronomy, published by the IAU. It is available here in in pdf format.
  • Tri-annual Report

The report of our WG for the next Tri-Annual report is available here
  • Proposal for a Lorenz Centre Workshop

This is being prepared by a subcommittee. The topic we decided on was the effect of binaries on stellar nucleosynthesis. This proposal will request a meeting in early 2005. For info or suggestions, please email John Lattanzio.

Possible topics for an IAU symposium/colloquium were briefly discussed at the Business Meeting. It is likely, after further discussions, to be one of the following:

    • Charting the Nuclides: Stellar Nucleosynthesis
    • Presolar Grains and Stellar Nucleosynthesis

I will investigate providing a Wiki website for us to all be able to add things in a more dynamic manner. This will be a good place for us to make comments and to upload papers for us all to read. More on this soon.
