Course requirements for BSc studentsOne of the advantages of the Bachelor of Science course is its flexibility in permitting studies across a range of disciplines. A key feature is the concept of major and minor sequences :
The BSc course requirements include the completion of at least one major sequence and at least one minor sequence or a second major sequence. These sequences may be in the same or different Science disciplines. When they are in the same discipline some overlap is permitted. Students must also complete
Further constraints on the choice of units for the BSc course also apply. These include that at most 60 points of level 1 units can be counted towards the degree and at least 24 points of level 3 units must be included in the overall degree program of at least 144 points. Furthermore, at least 96 points of the program must be taken from the Science units that listed are under the approved disciplines for the Faculty of Science in the University Undergraduate Guide to Courses. Students in other Science coursesThe full course regulations for other Science courses, including the Bachelor of Science (Science Scholars Program), Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Science are provided under the Faculty of Science entry in the University Undergraduate Guide to Courses. Students in the BSc/BE course can take only certain disciplines and units, as outlined in the detailed unit list for each branch of the course. This unit list is available from the Faculty of Engineering. |
