Areas of interest:
Tropical meteorology and the convectively-coupled wave problem. Specifically,
(i) the dynamical feedback between the organization of moist convection and the
generation and propagation of equatorial waves and (ii) the tropical hydrologic
cycle and the connections between moist convection, dynamics, radiation and
the ocean. These research interests are facilitated by the use of theory, high-
resolution cloud resolving models and observations.
