Hotel Paradox

Dr Aidan Sudbury
School of Mathematical Sciences

Paradoxes have played an important role in both philosophy and mathematics. Over the ages people have been puzzled as to why logic appears to make it impossible for the great Achilles to catch a torotoise or for a headmaster to set a surprise examination after he has announced it will take place sometime in the next moneth, when he clearly can. Hotel Paradox loosely weaves together some famous paradoxes. It was put on by ABC Radio in 1980.

Before the play there will be a brief introduction to some of the paradoxes.
