The Incompleat Gambler
or
How to Gamble on Horses if you must?
Dr Ravi Phatarford
Dept. of Mathematics & Statistics
Monash University
This talk deals with the essential steps one has to take to analyse a
form-guide, to be able to select those horses in a race which are good bets.
Having selected such horses, the talk deals with amounts to bet on each horse,
so that one can get a steady income and thereby lead a life of leisure, if not
of luxury - in theory!!
