Mathemagical Ambigrams
Dr Burkard Polster
Dept. of Mathematics & Statistics
Monash University
Ambigrams are calligraphic designs that have several interpretations as written words. For example the above half-turn ambigram of the word mathematics reads the same the right side up and upside-down.
This is your chance to see everybody's favourite mathematical terms
turned into beautiful calligraphic designs displaying unusual geometric
symmetries, magic squares and other mathematical puzzles that
incorporate an additional ambigrammatic dimension, and, in general,
wonderful fusions of ambigrams with other worlds of ambiguity and
wordplay.
