Structured eigenvalue problems: solution and applications
Eric Chu (Monash university)

Structured eigenvalue problems arise from many applications, from vibration of high speed trains, surface acoustic wave filters, crack propagation, exterior problems, optimal control etc.. Solutions have to be computed in a structure-preserving way. In this seminar, we shall discuss some recent progress made in the numerical solution and applications of these structured problems.
