Visit by Fields Medalist, Prof Terry Tao

Professor Terry Tao (2009 Clay-Mahler lecturer and Field’s Medal winner in 2006) gave a colloquium (on Discrete Random Matrices) in our Access Grid room on 2nd Septemebr 2009. A full house was in attendance, augmented by numerous other universities connecting remotely via the Access Grid. We thank Terry for his excellent talk, and the sponsors AMSI, Clay Institute, and the Australian Mathematical Society.
