Honours lecture topics offered in 2005

The lecture topics fall into four main groups - mathematics, statistics, astrophysics and atmospheric science. You can select lecture topics from any group, as long as the requirements of your enrolled honours units are met. It is your own responsibility to ensure that a sufficient number of lecture topics is taken.

Honours topics from other Schools or outside Monash may also be available in other areas, and you can take these with the permission of the Honours Coordinator.

Important Note: Not all of the lecture topics listed here will necessarily be offered, for example if they attract insufficient students, topics may be cancelled. Thus it is important for you to notify us, at the time of enrolment, which lecture topics you wish to take. A topic not offered as a lecture course can often be used as the basis of an essay.
